New this year, the Freddie Awards committee has identified several “Up And Coming Program of the Year” candidates—those programs that look to have the momentum to take the Freddie Award for Best Program home in coming years. Up and Coming Program of the Year isn’t a ‘committee identified’ award but is based on Program of the Year voting. The winner is the program with the best average score among those ranked by 2%—10% of the voters in a category (rounded up and down to the eligibility voting percentage). This new honor is included in each of the three voting regions and within both airline and hotel Program of the Year categories.
