Hail Caesars — and this time we really mean it

In 2022 we wrote that the rise of casino loyalty programs was one of the more interesting stories appearing in the Freddie Awards.

Apparently Caesars Rewards read that and decided to finish the story.

Caesars is the 2026 Hotel Program of the Year in the Americas.

And if somebody from Caesars is already walking toward the stage, don’t sit down.

There will be more.

Caesars Rewards grew out of Total Rewards and, before that, the casino loyalty world rather than the traditional hotel-company model.

That distinction once mattered considerably.

Today frequent travelers collect benefits wherever they sleep, eat, play and spend.

Caesars happens to offer all four.

Back in 2022, Caesars came within three-hundredths of a rating point of beating Marriott Bonvoy for Program of the Year.

Marriott won 8.67 to 8.64.

We noted at the time that casino programs were no longer curiosities.

Four years later?

Caesars wins the category.

And practically everything around it.
