In 2025, Aeroplan changed the address.

Air Canada Aeroplan wins Best Elite Program in the Americas.

That’s significant because elite status is where loyalty programs stop being theoretical.

Priority matters.

Upgrades matter.

Lounges matter.

Recognition matters.

And after enough travel, avoiding one 30-minute line can feel roughly equivalent to winning the lottery.

Aeroplan’s elite program—Aeroplan Elite Status—has roots extending back through Air Canada’s former Altitude program and into the rebuilt Aeroplan ecosystem.

The new structure had now been around long enough for members to know whether the promises translated into actual travel.

They voted yes.

For Aeroplan, the award was particularly sweet because it complemented Program of the Year.

It’s one thing to build a program people like.

It’s another to convince your most frequent customers that loyalty remains worth the effort.
